I started a survey a few days back on how many of us use Google, Yahoo or MSN for making searches in the internet. I started 4 polls in 4 different online discussion forum and 143 members have voted so far. The result is of course the obvious, Google is at the top!

Google won the poll by getting about 80% of the total votes. Some of them use all the search engines for different purposes and some use the other two only sometimes. Well, no wonder Google is at the top. In terms of Search Engines, Google has always topped the popularity chart and it seems like it will keep its position for at least the next decade.

Some in one of the forum also started a poll asking if MSN’s Live.com will take over Google in terms of Search Engines. Almost all who voted said no, though some voted in affirmative. But I personally feel that, the big G will remain in the top position because it has almost become the brand of internet search engines. Those who are new to internet knows about Google as a Search Engine and Yahoo as a free email provider. But what actually is in store, only time can tell.

Well, I have been thinking about writing about this and so I thought I should write it today. Well, what do you need to get a good PR? The first answer should be backlinks. Yes, backlinks are the most important factor for your website’s PageRank. The more backlinks you get, the better chances for you to get higher PR.

So, is only the number of backlinks the most important factor? No, there are many more factors that are accounted while assigning PR to your website. These are the PR of the site linking to your site, the number of links going out from the site you are linked from, the main theme of that website, the IP of that website, etc.

It is a good practice to get links from a high PR page than getting 10s of links from a PR0 site. And also it is better to get your links from similar themed sites. So, it is a good practice to get links through blog post because when you get a link from a blog post, the whole page is of the same theme to your website. So, get a lot of links from good PR, similar themed sites having different IPs and wait for the next PR update. You will sure get a good PR.

I just finished watching Spiderman 3 and I am not much happy with the overall action. The movie was short and there were very less action compared to its previous episodes. I also don’t like the idea of the sandman as such a mutation can hardly be justified.

Anyway, I have always loved the overall concept of spiderman and I still love it. Hope the next spiderman episode will come up with more action and more practical ideas. I like the gadgets used for combat because that looks quite possible.

I heard Shrek3 is also coming soon and my next big watch will be that. I am waiting for it eagerly and hope it will come up to my expectations.

I wonder how many of us use Yahoo for making searches and how many use the big G. As a fact, I myself never use Yahoo for searching over the internet. Though Yahoo still remains my favorite free email system, I make almost every searches in Google.

So, I was wondering how many of us do actually use Yahoo for making searches. I wanted to know this for one very specific reason - the Yahoo Overture. As of now, Yahoo still remains at the top in Alexa. But I think, it is the free email that is bringing them the maximum amount of traffic. I have read though, that Yahoo is a preferred search engine in some of the countries, so maybe these countries are contributing from the search point of view as well.

Anyway, I use yahoo and msn when I wanted to check if my websites are ranking good in them. But the irony is that, I get better amount of traffic from MSN and Yahoo then Google. So, I will still remain a Yahoo fan though I am addicted to Google too!

I am searching for a great ebook on internet marketing for newbie and I will appreciate if someone can give me a sincere review about the popular ebooks on Internet Marketing that we find out there in the internet. As for now, I have never touched the marketing line anytime before. But I heard of people earning great from the internet marketing. So, maybe I thought I should start giving it some time so that I get to learn it in few weeks.

As a start up, I have opened up a ClickBank account but I am yet to get familiar with the account panel there. Maybe I will join a good mailing program as well as “Money is in the list”. I am also yet to get familiar with the PCC Search Engine Working and so I will need to learn a lot of things before I can really expect to get some good results showing up. Hope everything will turn out exactly the way I am expecting them.

I started this blog of mine a few days ago but I couldn’t post much. But I am hoping to start posting from today and I will post like a posting machine!
