I recently had a very severe server problem with one of my hosting partner and I lost the database of a forum which started to gain popularity. The forum was a general discussion forum in local language and the hosting was offered by one of my online partner in return of a link placed on my forum footer. But now, I lost all the database and I have lost the forum too. I only have the domain now and it’s currently PR3.

Though I have some old backups of the database, I was quite depressed to start the forum from the midway and so I have now put up a notice apologizing to my visitors. Well, that’s the cost you have a pay when you don’t backup your database frequently. But if you have an active, start considering for an automatic database backup today because it’s the only way to avoid trouble later.
